BACK <ABBR> Command next

Command Syntax:

<ABBR> some text </ABBR>

The command renders enclosed normally.  It is intended to identify an abbrev. (abbreviation). 

See also:  <ACRONYM>.

Example:
<ABBR> cont'd. </ABBR>

Enclosed text is rendered normally.  The occurrence indicates that the text is an abbreviation.
