BACK <BDO> Command next

Command Syntax:

<BDO command parameters> some text </BDO>

The command overrides bidirectional flow within the enclosed text.  This is only used when languages with differing reading directions are enclosed within the same text area and the reading order has already been set within the text, itself.

Command Parameters:
dir="LTR | RTL"

The direction argument determines the reading order of the enclosed text where:

  • LTR - indicates left to right.

  • RTL - indicates right to left.
Example:
<BDO dir="LTR"> Some text in ENGLISH characters. .sretcarahc CIBARA ni txet emoS </BDO>

The BDO element would force the browser to read both English and Arabic from left to right in this section of code.
