BACK <LISTING> Command next

Command Syntax:

<LISTING>
  a block of text in a non-proportionally spaced font
  spaced exactly as the original
</LISTING>

The command renders enclosed text in a non-proportionally spaced font as a block and preserves all of the original spacing within the block.

The command also forces the font size to the browser's default for the defined non-proportionally spaced font, generally Courier New 10 point.

Example:
<LISTING>
  Mistress Mary, quite contrary,
  . . .
  And pretty maids all in a row.
</LISTING>

Enclosed text is rendered as a block of text in a non-proportinally spaced font:

Mistress Mary, quite contrary, How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells And pretty maids all in a row.
