BACK <SAMP> Command next

Command Syntax:

<SAMP> some text </SAMP>

The command renders enclosed text in a non-proportinally spaced font.  Generally this is Courier New or Courier 10 point.

See also:  <CODE>, <TT>, <XMP>

Example:
<SAMP> some text to be display in a non-proportinally spaced font </SAMP>

Enclosed text is rendered in a non-proportinally spaced font similar to the effect produced by a typewriter or teletype, e.g., every character has the same width (including spaces).

This can be useful for citing samples of HTML code, hence the command name <SAMP>.
