BACK <XMP> Command next

Command Syntax:

<XMP>
  a block of text and HTML commands in a non-proportionally spaced font
  spaced exactly as the original and displayed rather than interpreted
</XMP>

  • Renders enclosed text in a non-proportionally spaced font as a block and preserves all of the original spacing within the block.

  • Forces the font size to the browser's default for the defined non-proportionally spaced font, generally Courier New 10 point.

  • Forces a blank linke above and below the block of text and commands.

  • Displays enclosed HTML commands rather than interpreting them.

<XMP>
<ol type="disc">
  <li>eggs
  <li>ham
  <li>toast
</ol>

</XMP>

The enclosed text and code is rendered as a block of text in a non-proportinally spaced font and enclosed HTML commands are displayed rather than being interpreted:

<ol type="disc"> <li>eggs <li>ham <li>toast </ol>
