BACK <PRE> Command next

Command Syntax:

<PRE>
  a block of preformatted text
</PRE>

  • Renders enclosed preformatted text in a non-proportionally spaced font as a block and preserves all of the original spacing within the block.

  • Forces the font size to the browser's default for the defined non-proportionally spaced font, generally Courier New 10 point.

  • A suitable alternative to a table for alignment of simple text.

Example:

</PRE>

The enclosed preformatted is rendered as a block of text in a non-proportinally spaced font and all spacing is preserved:
